What makes Hem & Hue different from other Indian streetwear brands?

We don’t reference Indian craft. We build from it. Every technique we use — Kantha, ikat, block print, reactive dye, hand embroidery — is real, practiced by skilled artisans, and structurally central to how the piece is made.

Are all pieces exactly as shown in product images?

Wash-treated pieces carry organic tonal variation — no two are identical. Your piece shares the same colour story as shown, but its specific fade, strike pattern, or tonal distribution is unique to yours. This is intentional.

Is the embroidery hand done or machine done?

Both, depending on the piece. Artisan hand embroidery and machine embroidery are each specified under Details on the relevant product pages.

How should I care for wash-treated pieces?

Machine wash cold, inside out. Mild detergent only. No bleach. Air dry in shade. First wash separately. Do not iron directly on embroidery or print.

What fabric weight do you use?

Most pieces are built on 240 GSM French terry. Jackets use cotton twill. Shirts use cotton poplin or cotton glaze. Woven co-ords use lightweight plain-weave cotton. All specified per product.

Do you restock sold-out styles?

Wash-treated pieces are produced in limited quantities as each batch is unique. Some styles may be restocked. Sign up to our newsletter to be notified first.

Can I return a piece because the wash looks different from the photo?

Tonal variation in wash-treated pieces is inherent to the process and is not a defect. Please refer to our full Returns Policy for details.

How do I know my size?

Visit our Size Guide. Our silhouettes are intentionally oversized — if unsure, size down for a more controlled fit. If still uncertain, email us before ordering.
